News & media Blog New NHS Dental Charges from April 2025 11 March 2025 It has been announced that as of 1st April 2025, there will be a price increase in England for NHS dental treatment. The charges are set to rise from April 1 by an average of 2.3%. The amount that people pay for basic NHS dental care is set to rise by between 60p and £7.60. Current Charge 1st April 2025 Band 1 £26.80 £27.40 Band 2 £73.50 £75.30 Band 3 £319.10 £326.70 Urgent or emergency treatment £26.80 £27.40 In England, you will pay one of the Band charges depending on the dental treatment that you require. You will pay one Band charge for a course of treatment. You are exempt from NHS Dental charges. If you are: Are under 18. Are under 19 and in full-time education. Are pregnant or have a baby under 12 months old. Are in receipt of Universal credit, Income Support or income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance/Employment and Support Allowance. Are getting Pension Credit Guarantee Credit. Have an HC2 certificate.
